CHICAGO, IL – A male juvenile has been charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking after he was arrested on May 3, 2023, in the 8500 block of S. Kingston, according to police.
The 17-year-old was identified as one of the offenders involved in a carjacking that occurred several hours earlier in the 1900 block of E. 87th St.
The incident involved a 75-year-old female victim who had her vehicle taken at gunpoint.
The teen suspect was subsequently charged with one count of vehicular hijacking and one count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
He appeared in Juvenile Court on May 4. No further information has been released at this time.
