17-year-old shot, murdered in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, P.A. — A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed Tuesday morning on the 50XX block of Rorer Street in the city’s 25th District, authorities said.

Police responded to reports of a male armed with a gun around 7:15 a.m. and discovered Noah Scurry, a resident of the same block, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The teenager was transported by medics to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 7:37 a.m.

No arrests have been made, and no weapon has been recovered as the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit leads the ongoing investigation.

Officials are offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case and are urging anyone with information to contact the PPD tipline at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
