19-Year-Old Bicyclist Dies Following Collision in Riverdale Park

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, VA — A 19-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in a collision with a car while riding an electronic bike in Riverdale Park.

The crash occurred on Wednesday, August 14, at approximately 10 p.m. Officers from the Riverdale Park Police Department responded to the scene at Riverdale Road and 58th Avenue, where Jorge Martinez-Martinez of Hyattsville collided with a car. Martinez-Martinez was taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries six days later.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 301-731-4422.
