19-year-old shot walking in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 19-year-old male is recovering after being shot Saturday afternoon while walking in the city’s Northwest District, according to Baltimore Police.

At approximately 5:22 p.m. on June 21, patrol officers responded to an area hospital after being notified of a walk-in shooting victim. Upon arrival, they located the teen with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

A preliminary investigation determined that the shooting occurred while the victim was walking in the 3800 block of Belle Avenue. Details surrounding the motive or suspect remain unknown at this time.

The victim’s identity has not been released, and no arrests have been made.

Northwest District detectives are leading the investigation and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the shooter.
