PHILADELPHIA — A 19-year-old man was critically injured in a stabbing that occurred inside a residence on the 6500 block of North 18th Street on Monday afternoon. The incident took place at approximately 2:50 p.m., according to authorities.

The victim sustained a single stab wound to the upper chest and was transported by private vehicle to Albert Einstein Hospital. He is currently listed in critical condition, hospital officials reported.

Philadelphia police have secured the scene, recovered a weapon, and made an arrest in connection with the incident. Details regarding the identity of the suspect have not been released at this time.
