BALTIMORE, MD – A 19-year-old man walked into a Baltimore-area hospital with a gunshot wound Wednesday afternoon, leading investigators to a shooting scene on Shellbank Road while the wounded teenager remained in stable condition.
Baltimore Police officers responded to an area hospital at approximately 4:02 p.m. after receiving a report of a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.
Officers found the 19-year-old suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body.
Police said the victim was listed in stable condition.
A preliminary investigation determined the shooting occurred in the 1200 block of Shellbank Road.
Southern District shooting detectives responded and took control of the investigation.
Police did not release information about what led to the gunfire.
