20-year-old man fatally shot in Queens, police investigating

QUEENS, N.Y. — A 20-year-old man was fatally shot Monday evening in a residential neighborhood in the Queens Village area, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 4:39 p.m. and discovered the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest near 209-30 86th Drive, within the 107th Precinct.

Emergency medical services transported the victim to North Shore Manhasset Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification, according to authorities.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
