TOMS RIVER-During the first week of testing for coronavirus at the Ocean County College drive-thru testing facility here, the Ocean County Health Department said today the Salvation Army has been an integral part of the operation keeping healthcare workers and police officers fed.
“The Salvation Army has been an important presence at the COVID-19 drive thru testing site all week by feeding the large group of medical staff, administrators, law enforcement officers and other employees in an effort to do their part and assist in keeping the process running smoothly,” the OCHD said. “But, as we gear up for the second week of testing at OCC, they can still use your help! The Salvation Army is asking for donations of prepared food trays and soft drinks.”
The Salvation Army requests the following;
*Any prepared food entree that is ready to serve buffet/catering style. (Aluminum covered trays work best).
*Casserole’s, Mac & Cheese, Pasta and Chicken Dishes, etc, Juices and Soft Drinks.
*For more information please call the Salvation Army at 732-270-8393. (Your generosity is greatly appreciated during these unprecedented times).
