Baltimore gunman ignored city lockdown shot man on Keyworth Avenue

BALTIMORE, MD – Baltimore is once again in lockdown after newly elected woke Mayor Brandon Scott essentially shut down the city.  The most dangerous thing on Baltimore streets these days, however, appears to be random gunmen shooting at the citizens of Baltimore.  They’re not deterred by COVID-19 or the new mayor’s assault against small businesses.  In Baltimore, indoor dining and indoor recreation are shut down.  Senseless street violence, on the other hand, is not.

Police in Baltimore reports that on Saturday,  at approximately 9:57 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Keyworth Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

Officers arrived at the scene and discovered a 51-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim advised officers that the shooting occurred in the 2500 block of Shirley Avenue. After the victim was shot, he ran to Keyworth Avenue and knocked on doors to get help.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Northern District detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Northern District Shooting detectives, at 410-396-2455.
