MADERA, CA – A Madera police officers was nearly struck by a drunk driver while working the late night shift. According to police, last night during his overnight shift, Officer Eichman was nearly struck by a vehicle being operated by a driver under the influence of alcohol. Juvencino Hernandez Martin was quickly stopped and field sobriety tests were conducted. All tests were failed and Juvencino was arrested, later providing a breath alcohol sample of more than two times the legal limit.
“Please do not drink and drive. Nobody deserves to be a victim of someone else’s extremely bad choice,” the department said today.
