Three teens arrested for significant damage at Odessa High Shchool

Townsend, DE – Delaware State Police arrested 18-year-old Cameron Criddle of Galena, MD, a 17-year-old juvenile male of Townsend, and a 17-year-old juvenile male of Clayton, DE for felony criminal mischief and related charges.

On December 13, 2020, at approximately 9:35 a.m., Delaware State Police responded to Odessa High School located at 580 Tony Marcio Dr., Townsend for a criminal mischief. Upon arrival troopers met with representatives from the school who indicated during the early morning hours of Saturday, December 12, 2020, unknown suspects caused significant damage to multiple athletic fields on the Odessa High School complex. District representatives estimated the fields sustained approximately a quarter million dollars in damage.

Troopers initiated an investigation and conducted a canvass of the property for evidence. During the canvass, evidence was located identifying the suspect vehicle. Troopers responded to the suspects residence and contacted the 17-year-old juvenile male of Townsend. He was taken into custody without incident and transported back to Troop 9. After completing an interview with the suspect, additional suspects were identified as Criddle and a 17-year-old male of Clayton.


The 17-year-old male of Townsend was charged with the following crimes:

  • Criminal Mischief $5,000 or More Damaged Property Felony)
  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)

He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #11 and released $10,000 unsecured bond.

Criddle turned himself in at Troop 9 and was charged with the following crimes:

  • Criminal Mischief $5,000 or More Damaged Property Felony)
  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)

Criddle was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court and released on his own recognizance.

The 17-year-old male of Clayton turned himself in at Troop 9 was charged with the following crimes:

  • Criminal Mischief $5,000 or More Damaged Property Felony)
  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)

He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #11 and released on his own recognizance.
