This is a huge test for Villanova, after they beat Winthrop by 10, and North Texas by 23 to advance.  The Wildcats will need to raise their game up a notch, and they will need to hit those 3-pointers. Villanova is 9-1 in games where they hit 10 or more three-point shots. Villanova commits the fewest turnovers in the nation on average with 8.8 per game; so, Baylor shouldn’t be expecting too many free trips. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl is their highest average scorer with 15.2 points per game, and figures to be a key factor for Villanova’s chances.

This is Baylor’s fifth appearance in the Sweet 16 since 2010.  They reached the Elite Eight in 2010 and 2012.  The Bears have won 6 of their last 7, with the only loss being to Oklahoma State in the Big 12 tournament. Baylor beat Wisconsin by 13, taking an 18-point lead early in the 2nd half, and had a relatively easy time the rest of the way. The Bears shot 8-of-17 from 3-pt. range, and committed only 4 turnovers. Guard Matthew Mayer came off the bench to lead all Baylor scorers with 17 points.    This one could be a high-scoring affair.
