COLUMBUS, OH – Here’s a robbery for the dogs. A Columbus area man robbed a bank last month holding nothing more than an empty box of Milk Bone dog biscuits. Now, police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

On March 25, 2021, at 3:30pm, an unknown suspect entered the PNC Bank at 2941 Olentangy River Rd.

The suspect had a large red Milk Bone dog treat box under his arm and approached the teller. The suspect informed the teller he had a bomb in the box and demanded money. T

he teller complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled the bank and running to a nearby Sunoco gas station where he approached a male about to pump gas into a white minivan, possibly a Chrysler Pacifica.

The male, who probably did not know the suspect had just robbed a bank, ultimately drove the suspect away from the area. The suspect was described as a male, possibly Hispanic, late 20s to early 30s, 5’3”-5’5”, 160, “chubby” build, faint mustache, wearing a black “Champion” hoodie with the hood up over a dark baseball hat, sunglasses, and black pants.
