Police capture man who shot and killed another during Easter fight in Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH On Sunday, April 4, 2021, at 9:53 PM, Columbus Police officers were called to 1213 E. Dublin Granville Rd. on a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found 42-year-old Dion Skipper suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at 10:02pm.

The investigation revealed that 49-year-old Bruce Cameron and Skipper were arguing with each other and began to fight. During the fight, Cameron produced a handgun, and shot Skipper fatally wounding him.

Detectives have filed a warrant charging Cameron with Murder for causing Skipper’s death. Cameron was caught by police and charged Monday afternoon.
