RALEIGH, NC – On April 6th, at approximately 7:11 p.m., Raleigh Police Department officers were dispatched to a check on welfare call in the 1500 block of Hillsborough Street. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of a deceased adult. A follow-up investigation ensued.
The deceased has been identified as Christina Maria Matos, 20.
Eric Gael Hernandez-Mendez, 20, has been charged with murder in connection with this incident. He has been transported to the Wake County Detention Center.
