Camden, N.J. – A former Camden Catholic High School teacher pled guilty and was sentenced on May 14 on charges related to the repeated sexual assault of her former student, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer.
Bridget Sipera, 37, of Cherry Hill, pled guilty to one count of third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child and was sentenced to four years in the New Jersey State Prison.
Sipera was charged in August of 2020 after an investigation revealed she repeatedly sexually assaulted a student beginning in January of 2019 when the student was 17-years-old. Detectives said the sexual assault continued through March of 2020.
Under the sentencing agreement, Sipera must also forfeit her teaching license and credentials, register under Megan’s Law, undergo lifelong supervised parole, and have no contact with the victim or the victim’s family.
