Multiple shootings being investigated in New Brunswick

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Director Anthony A. Caputo of the New Brunswick Police Department announced today that two shootings are under investigation. On June 17, 2021, at approximately 10:47 P.M., authorities responded to the area of Gatling Court and Bergen Court at Robeson Village following the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers located three victims who sustained apparent gunshot wounds. The victims were transported from the scene for medical attention.

On June 18, 2021, at approximately 2:08 A.M., authorities also responded to a reported shooting on Easton Avenue between Hamilton and Condict Streets. Authorities later located two victims who sustained apparent gunshot wounds. One victim, whose identity is being withheld pending notification to their next-of-kin, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

At present, the shootings appear to be related. However, the investigation is active and continuing.
