Man found hanging from tree in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department has initiated an investigation into the death of a man. On July 2, 2021 at 2:42 pm, patrol officers responded to New Hampshire and Melrose Avenues for a report of the body of a man discovered hanging in a tree.

Medical personnel arrived on scene and the man, 21, of Atlantic City, was pronounced deceased. The body was recovered and transported to the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy will be performed. At this time, based upon preliminary investigation which included an interview with the 911 caller, the death is not believed to be suspicious, however the investigation will continue until a manner of death is determined.
