$100,008 Powerball Sold in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – Our Wednesday night Powerball and Bonus Match 5 drawings were sure to put smiles on the faces of lucky players in both games. A Powerball player won a $100,000 third-tier prize and had another $8 in winnings on the ticket, while a Bonus Match 5 player scored a $50,000 top prize and had another $15 in prizes on the ticket.

The winning numbers in the Powerball drawing were 9, 22, 41, 47 and 61; the Powerball was 21 and the Power Play multiplier was x2. The player added the Power Play multiplier to the ticket, doubling the third-tier prize to $100,000. Retailer Woodlawn Shell located at 6600 Security Boulevard in Baltimore sold the lucky ticket.


The winning numbers for the Sept. 8 Bonus Match 5 drawing were 4, 9, 19, 22 and 23; the Bonus Ball was 37. Retailer Woodmoor Shell Food Mart located at 7001 Liberty Road in Baltimore sold the top-prize winning $50,000 ticket.

This year, the state has now had 41 third-tier Powerball winners and 35 top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 players.

Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. Winners can also drop off a winning ticket along with a completed claim form and copies of their photo ID and proof of Social Security/Tax ID number in the Lottery drop box in the Montgomery Park Business Center lobby.
