Trump: Twitter has become a very boring place, Zuckerberg used to ‘kiss my ass’

In an interview with FOX News host Greg Gutfeld, former U.S. President Donald J. Trump said Twitter has become a boring place without him. He also said that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg had dinner at the White House and, “He kissed my ass.”

“A lot of people think Twitter was bad for me. I disagree, I think it was good for me,” Trump told Gutfeld when asked if he missed being able to use the platform. “Twitter has become a very boring place. I don’t want to be bragging or anything but people tell me it’s become very boring.”

“When I went on to Twitter about twelve years ago, it was a failed operation,” Trump said. “It became successful and a lot of people said I had a lot to do with it. When they took me off, I had way over 100 million people. If you add Facebook, it’s over 200 million people. When you go from 200 million to nothing overnight.”

Trump said he now uses his own Save America website as his social media outlet to express himself and he has filed a class-action lawsuit against both Facebook and Twitter.

The former President then turned his attention to Facebook and CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

“He used to come to the White House to kiss my ass,” Trump said. “And I’d say that’s nice…I have the head of Facebook coming with his lovely wife and they’d have dinner with me in the White House. Then you see what they do about me and Republicans and it’s just sort of crazy. But that’s the way the world works.”

NBC News reported on the dinner in November 2019.

“President Donald Trump hosted a previously undisclosed dinner with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook board member Peter Thiel at the White House in October, the company told NBC News on Wednesday,” NBC reported. “The meeting took place during Zuckerberg’s most recent visit to Washington, where he testified before Congress about Facebook’s new cryptocurrency Libra. Zuckerberg also gave a speech at Georgetown University the week before, detailing his company’s commitment to free speech, and its resistance to calls for the company to crack down on misinformation in political advertisements.”

Earlier in the day, Trump congratulated Gutfield for having the top-rated late-night ratings on television for his show ‘Gutfeld!’

“Congratulations to Greg Gutfeld on having the number one Late Night Show on television, including the exhausted, low talent, and highly overrated Network shows. I would give an even bigger congratulations if he had tougher competition because beating haters who do comedy should not be a very difficult task. Like so many others, they will continue to fall,” Trump said.
