Police Search for two Armed Robbery Suspects in Mattapan

DORCHESTER, MASSACHUSETTS – Officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan/Dorchester) responded to two calls hours apart for Armed Robberies at gunpoint in the area of Mattapan Square. Officers subsequently were able to locate and arrest Willie Beck-Dacres, 30, of Mattapan.

At about 5:33 PM, a black male, later identified as Beck-Dacres, entered 885 Cummins Highway, brandished a firearm, and threatened to shoot staff if they did not give him money. Beck-Dacres then fled the location, with a quantity of US Currency, before officer’s arrival. At about 7:23 PM, Beck-Dacres entered another store located at 1643 Blue Hill Avenue, again threatened the staff with a firearm, and fled the store with a quantity of US Currency prior to officer’s arrival.

Detectives responded to both crime scenes and were able to obtain video footage of both incidents. Officers were provided a description of the male wanted in both incidents. Officers on patrol in the area of Mattapan Square observed Beck-Dacres walking in the area, matching the description of the male wanted in connection to both incidents. Officers took Beck-Dacres into custody without incident.

Beck Dacres is to be charged with two (2) counts of Armed Robbery. Willie Beck-Dacres is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
