Calexico Agents Arrest MS-13 Gang Member

CALEXICO, Calif. – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the El Centro Sector arrested a gang member Wednesday morning.



The incident occurred at approximately 7:20 a.m., when agents assigned to the Calexico station encountered an undocumented individual who illegally entered the United States six miles east of the Calexico East Port of Entry. The individual was arrested and transported to the El Centro Sector Processing Center to be medically evaluated and processed accordingly. 



Record checks revealed that this individual, a 47-year-old El Salvadoran national, is a documented MS-13 gang member with criminal and immigration history. This individual has convictions for voluntary manslaughter and grand theft auto with a sentence of 92 months in prison. This undocumented individual also has multiple re-entries after deportation and was previously ordered to be removed from the U.S. by an immigration judge.



U.S. Border Patrol will process the individual accordingly.
