Phil Murphy won? Media and the left claim victory, Ciattarelli spokesman says not so fast

TRENTON, NJ – Ahead in the polls by nearly 20,000 votes, the Associated Press has declared Phil Murphy the winner of the 2021 race for governor in New Jersey.

“AP called the race Thursday evening when a new batch of votes from Republican leaning Monmouth County increased Murphy’s lead and closed the door to a Ciattarelli comeback,” the AP reported. “Ballots remaining to be counted included a significant number of votes from predominantly Democratic Essex County, along with mail-in votes spread across other counties. Murphy has won the mail-in vote by a wide margin even in Republican leaning counties like Monmouth.”

Jack Ciattarelli has been silent as ballots continue to be counted, but his spokesman, Stami Williams said not so dast.

“With the candidates separated by a fraction of a percent out of 2.4 million ballots cast, it’s irresponsible of the media to make this call when the New Jersey Secretary of State doesn’t even know how many ballots are left to be counted,” Williams said.

Murphy currently leads Ciattarelli 1.211,457 to 1,192,017 a margin of nearly 20,000 votes.

Today, the RNC said it was sending a team of lawyers to New Jersey to ensure election integrity. One of Ciattarelli’s former election opponents turned ally in 2021, Joe Rullo said mail-in-ballot election irregularities should be investigated for both the 2020 and 2021 elections.

Although Murphy could be on track for winning this election once it has been certified and possibly challenged the state of politics in New Jersey has been altered. While Murphy might win this battle, the Democrat party has suffered a major defeat in their war against the people of New Jersey during the pandemic.

Murphy will host a rally at the Asbury Park Boardwalk Convention Center at 10 p.m. Wednesday night to celebrate his victory.
