A female inmate who escaped from New Jersey’s infamous Edna Mahan Correctional Facility has been captured. Police say Jessica Graham, 40, escaped from the notorious prison, but was apprehended on Halloween.
The prison has been ordered to be closed by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy after multiple allegations of rape by prison guards against the inmates of the all-woman correctional facility.
The HCPO issued the following statement:
The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office, NJ Department of Corrections, NJ State Police, and local law enforcement agencies are actively investigating an escaped inmate from Edna Mahan Correctional Facility. The inmate was reported missing from a minimum-security unit at the facility earlier today. The inmate was last seen near exit 13 on I-78.
