Lynn Haven police make arrest in child pornography investigation

LYNN HAVEN – Lynn Haven Police today announced the filing of additional charges in connection with an on-going Child Pornography investigation. On October 29, 2021, Investigators from the Lynn Haven Police Department arrested twenty-nine year old, David Allen Rafuse on a felony charge of Transmission of Child Pornography. At that time, a Search Warrant was executed on the Rafuse residence which resulted in the seizure of multiple computers, hard drives, a cellular telephone and USB storage devices.

Since that time, Investigators have conducted court authorized searches of those electronic devices and seized a large quantity of digital evidence in this case. An analysis of that evidence revealed a significant number of images and video files that have been determined to be Child Pornography.

Based on this additional evidence, an arrest warrant charging Rafuse with an additional three-hundred, twenty-five (325) counts of Possession of Child Pornography was obtained. Rafuse was taken back into custody last night and was booked into the Bay County Jail where he was held pending his first appearance before a local Judge.
