PALM COAST, FL – The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) is investigating a fatal shooting overnight in Palm Coast. The FCSO’s Investigative Services Division is looking for answers into the death of 19-year-old Jamey “JuJu” Bennett, Jr. of Palm Coast.

FCSO deputies responded to a wooded area off of Old Kings Road North just before 2 a.m., Saturday. Investigators say several dozen teenagers were at a party when an argument erupted leading to the fatal shooting.

The FCSO is following leads at this hour as they investigate the shooting. Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly is asking parents to speak with their children who may have been out last night and see if they witnessed anything.

“We are hoping that some of the people in attendance may have captured video of the incident and people that attended,” Sheriff Staly said. “Parents, please speak with your children. Always know where your children are, who they are with and what they are doing. If they were out late last night, they may have the clue or video on their phone which could help us solve this case and find a killer.”

At this time, the investigation is ongoing. As information becomes available, the FCSO will release it to the community. If you have any information about this incident, please contact the FCSO by calling 386-313-4911, e-mail TIPS@FlaglerSheriff.com or call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS. A reward of up to $5,000 that leads to an arrest has been offered by Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida.
