EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ – It was “Read Across Egg Harbor Township” last week as Egg Harbor Township police officer Carl Peterson read to Mr. Sharp’s pre-k class from Slaybaugh Schoool.

The event, hosted each year by the National Education Association helps to inspire reading by young school students across America.

“The Egg Harbor Township Police Department was proud to read their way across EHT as we celebrated “Read Across America” week! Officers visited classrooms throughout the township, read books, and answered questions the students had about the police department,” the department said. “Pictured here is Officer Peterson with Ms. Sharpe’s Pre-K class from Slaybaugh School.”
