Leonia Police Investigating Stabbing at Apartment Complex

LEONIA, NJ – A woman was found stabbed and killed inside her apartment on Grand Avenue in Leonia on Saturday.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said the agency’s Major Crimes Unit and the Leonia Police Department are investigating the homicide that occurred at 147 Grand Avenue.

“At approximately 10:00 a.m., the Leonia Police Department received a 911 call from the apartment complex reporting that an occupant of the residence was the victim of a stabbing,” Musella said. “Upon their arrival, officers discovered Alicia A. Arnone, a 35-year-old female, deceased from an apparent stab wound.”


An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Leonia Police Department under the direction of Chief Scott Tamagny.

No suspects have been identified at this time.
