BRICK, NJ – If you’re looking for a summer job, Brick Township has one for you. This year, the township is getting a head start on summer to fill positions for camp counselors, lifeguards, and badge checkers.
The Township of Brick is currently seeking candidates for the following seasonal positions:
CAMP COUNSELOR: Camp operates from June 27th to August 2nd. Hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:30am to 2:30pm – weather permitting. Must be at least 15 years old. There will be a mandatory staff training day. Counselors must comply with all procedures, policies and practices. Counselors are responsible for overseeing campers ages 4-13. Must be able to supervise a variety of recreational activities. No experience necessary. Starting pay $13.00/hour.
LIFEGUARD: Must be at least 16 years old. Must be able to swim 500 yards and run 1 mile. Applicants must provide doctor’s note and all paperwork prior to tryout. Tryout scheduled for May 11th at 3pm at Brick Beach 3. Training will be provided. Must be available for training prior to season start. Season is Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Starting pay $15.00/hour.
BADGE CHECKER: Must be at least 15 years old. Must be courteous and responsible. No previous experience necessary. From Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Work hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm. Starting pay $13.00/hour.
