Newark Police Requesting Public’s Assistance In Identifying Liquor Shoplifter

NEWARK, NJ – Police responded to a shoplifting call at Vailsburg Wine & Liquors located at 986 South Orange Avenue on March 22, 2022 at approximately 7:00pm. The suspect removed three bottles of liquor worth $67.00 from the refrigerator and walked out without paying.

The suspect is described by police as a black male wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, a camouflage jacket and dark pants.

Detectives are asking the public if they know the man pictured below. Anyone with information regarding this incident to help their investigation is asked to contact the Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-695-8477. All anonymous tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
