Asbury Park Press Latest Liberal Media Outlet to Try to Falsely Pin Buffalo Massacre on Republicans

NEPTUNE, NJ – A feature in today’s Asbury Park Press bashes New Jersey Republicans for not embracing the media’s false narrative on the heinous massacre in Buffalo, asking why Republicans are ‘silent’ after the Buffalo tragedy.

“New Jersey Republicans had no problem posting tweets last week on national issues that fire up the party’s conservative base with outrage,” the Asbury Park Press reported, then condemning local and state representatives for not chiming in the national debate as Democrats did, politicizing a brutal massacre of 10 inside a Buffalo supermarket.

While New Jersey Republicans were attempting to tackle local issues such as a baby formula shortage affecting millions of New Jersey moms, inflation, high gas prices, the Asbury Park Press condemned them for not getting on the political gridiron in the wake of the shooting.

Like the mainstream media, the Press hinted and suggested Republicans were in support of things such as white replacement theory and gun violence.

“But this event poses a particular new level of peril for the GOP. Gendron was apparently motivated by the “white replacement theory,” which holds that a cabal of elites (often Jews) are conspiring to replace and eventually wipe out the white race with hordes of nonwhite immigrants,” the press reported.

Left out by the press attack on the right was the fact that the gunman in the attack wasn’t a Republican, didn’t like Republicans and said exactly who radicalized him to commit the attack…and it wasn’t Tucker Carlson, according to his 180-page manifesto.

“That theory may very well have mobilized an 18-year-old with a rifle and strapped-on protective body armor and a camera that livestreamed his carnage,” the APP wrote, trying to connect the Fox News host falsely to the shooter, who was not a fan of Fox News.

Instead, the truth lies elsewhere, in the darkest corners of the internet. He never once mentioned Tucker Carlson. In fact, also left out by the Asbury Park Press, which is dwindling day by day, the shooter described himself as politically left-leaning. Hardly the person who would sit through an hour-long diatribe by Carlson five days a week.

Gendron actually said the COVID-19 lockdowns are what ignited the spark for his mass shooting, not a right-wing talking head with a bad haircut.

The shooter’s diary and manifesto made it extremely clear why he committed his heinous act.

  • Buffalo shooter Payton Gendron said his beliefs were inspired by websites Reddit and 4chan, which he began using during COVID-19, and listed his favorite subreddits in his personal diary.
  • Media outlets blamed Tucker Carlson and Republicans for inspiring the shooter, but he condemned Republicans in his diary, never mentioned Carlson and expressed that he was politically left-leaning.
  • “I almost spent a year planning this attack … Oh how time flies, if I could go back maybe I’d tell myself to get the fuck off 4chan,” he wrote in one diary entry.

Before the shooting, which occurred in a predominately black neighborhood, Payton Gendron published a 106-page manifesto online describing himself as a “white supremacist” and “anti-semite.” Gendron said explicitly in his diary that he developed his beliefs from 4chan and Reddit after the start of the pandemic. DCNF’s Laurel Duggan wrote.

“My current beliefs started when I first started to use 4chan a few months after covid started. Many of which I got from 4chan’s /pol/ page and links found in /nsg/ and threads like that,” he wrote in a diary entry labeled Jan. 30, referring to 4chan discussion forums.

Gendron also credited Reddit with forming his beliefs and listed several Reddit forums in which he frequently posted.

“Of course, many of my beliefs come from reddit too. Many subreddits I joined have been banned but they show up on r/AgainstHateSubreddits all the time,” he wrote Jan. 30. “One’s that are still around include r/greentext, r/4chan, r/PoliticalCompassMemes, r/SocialJusticeInAction, r/LoveForLandlords, and r/AntiHateCommunites, of which I am actually in their discord.”

Never once did the gunman say he was radicalized by Tucker Carlson, the Republican party, Sean Hannity, or others. The Asbury Park Press was once a great newspaper under the control of Press Communications pre-1998. Since then it has deteriorated, decayed and has become a paper for the masses at the Jersey Shore and has become a mouthpiece of the progressive minority at the Jersey Shore.
