Passengers in Sunken Boat Off Roton Point Rescued

NORWALK, CT – Two passengers aboard a sinking boat off Roton Point were rescued by good “Sa-Mariners” and brought to sure by the Norfolk Fire Department Saturday.

According to the Norfolk Police Department, “The NPD Marine Unit responded to a vessel taking on water between Greens Ledge and Roton Point. The two people aboard were picked up by a passing boat and then brought to shore by the NFD. Neither was injured however the 48’ vessel sank in about 20’ of water. Sea Tow was working to recover the vessel.”
