BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – A Baltimore Police Sergeant is on life support after being hit and dragged by another vehicle last night. At 8:04 pm while conducting a vehicle stop, a police sergeant was struck by a vehicle and dragged nearly two blocks before the vehicle came to a stop. The vehicle also struck another car while dragging the sergeant.

This incident happened in the area of 5100 Park Heights Avenue in the Northwest Section of Baltimore. After the car came to a stop the driver escaped the vehicle. The police sergeant was taken to Shock Trauma where he currently is on full life-support in the intensive care unit.

“The driver hit the gas and accelerated, dragging the sergeant,” Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said while speaking with the press Tuesday night.

Detectives are pursuing “pretty good leads” at this time Harrison said, but ask that if you have any information, please call 866-Lockup.
