Two Shot One Dead In Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a double shooting that left one man dead and a juvenile hospitalized yesterday morning. The shooting took place on the 3300 block of 14th Place in Southeast, D.C.

Police say, “At approximately 12:19 am, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, the members located an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the adult male victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. A short time later, a juvenile male victim walked into an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.”

The victim’s identity has not been released at this time.
