Four Teenagers Shot at Duquesne Public Housing Project Outdoor Gathering

DUQUESNE, PA – Four teenagers were shot on Saturday in the Orchard Park public housing project in Duquesne.

According to the Allegheny County Police Department, on Saturday, at 9:40 p.m., officers of the Duquesne Police Department and Allegheny County Housing Authority Police responded to multiple calls for gunfire and injured persons at the Orchard Park Housing Community.

“Responding officers located four gunshot victims in the vicinity of the 1000 block of Ridge Street and the 1000 block of Orchard Park Avenue,” police said.


All four victims were 17-years-old or younger.

Two seventeen-year-old male victims were found to each have a gunshot wound to a lower extremity. One seventeen-year-old female was found to have a gunshot wound to a lower extremity. One sixteen-year-old male was found to have a grazing gunshot wound to the head. All four victims were transported to area hospitals and are in stable condition.

“County Police, the Pennsylvania State Police, and multiple surrounding police departments responded to assist with securing the crime scene,” ACPD said in a statmenent. “Detectives with the County Police Homicide Unit and General Investigations Unit initiated an investigation. Detectives learned that that a large group of youths were gathered in a parking lot between Orchard Park Avenue and Ridge Street when an undetermined number of individuals began to open fire.”
