Newark Police Seeking Burglary Suspect

NEWARK, NJ – Do you recognize the person in the photos below? If so, the Newark Police Department would like to know too.

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspect in connection with a business burglary that occurred today, Friday, August 19, 2022.

At approximately 4:45 a.m., Police responded to the Park Avenue Super Deli & Grocery Store, located at 256 Park Avenue, on a call of a burglary. Responding officers viewed the store’s surveillance cameras and observed the suspect enter through a rear window. Cash in the amount of $300.00 to $400.00 was stolen along with other merchandise.


Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying this suspect as part of their investigation. He is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, 5’8” tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a Nike logo, blue jean shorts, and white Nike sneakers.
