Man Found Dead, Stabbed in Kearny

KEARNY, NJ – The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Kearny Police Department are investigating the death of a 34-year-old man that occurred on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

At approximately 5:45 a.m., the Kearny Police Department received a 911 call regarding an individual lying on the ground in the area of Belgrove Drive and Afton Street. Responding officers located a male victim – later identified as Corey McFadden – with multiple apparent stab wounds to the lower body. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:20 a.m. and the Cause and Manner of Death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Kearny Police Department are actively investigating this case.
