Two Charged in Arrest at Mount Vernon House Known For Narcotics Sales

MOUNT VERNON, IN – On Thursday September 15th, 2022 at about 1550 hours members of the Mt Vernon Police Department / Jefferson County Sheriffs Department Narcotics Unit served a search warrant at 603 Kensington in Mt Vernon. The search warrant was a result of an ongoing investigation regarding the sales of narcotics at the residence.

During a search of the residence narcotics detectives located quantities of methamphetamine, fentanyl, packaging materials, drug equipment, stolen property, and currency.

As a result of the search warrant the following arrests were made –


35-year-old Jadie N Jordan on charges of Delivery of Methamphetamine 15-100 Grams, Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Equipment.

21-year-old Harleigh A Hodges on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine Less than Five Grams and Possession of Hypodermic Needles.

Both subjects were incarcerated in the Jefferson County Justice Center with bond to be set and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

This is an on going investigation with additional charges possible in the future.
