Chatsworth man arrested for luring 14-year-old

CHATSWORTH, NJ – A Chatsworth man has been arrested after seeking to have an encounter with a juvenile girl. According to police, Hazleton Newman, 31, attempted to set up a date with a girl he believed to be 14 years old online.

Instead, he was speaking to an undercover law enforcement official.

Police arrested Newman and charged him with luring, attempted endangerment of a child, and attempted sexual assault of a minor.
