NYPD seeking to identify suspect who assaulted woman aboard NYC subway train in Brooklyn

NEW YORK, NY – A woman riding the N train in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn was assaulted by a man causing a nuisance last month and police are still trying to close the case. According to Detectives with the 61st Precinct, no suspects have been arrested in the January 29th attack.

According to police, the suspect approached a 40-year-old woman riding the N train near the 86th Street Station when he tapped her shoulder. After telling him to stop, the suspect punched the woman several times in the face and fled the train when it arrived at the station.

The woman was treated on scene for facial lacerations and a swollen jaw.


Police released video and photos of the suspect and are now asking the public to assist in identifying him.
