ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – A Florida woman and wrestling star was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a gun last week after a valet working at a casino garage noticed a gun inside her car.
According to the Atlantic City Police Department, officers responded to a report that a valet employee discovered a handgun in a vehicle parked valet at the Borgata Hotel, Casino, and Spa.
When ACPD patrol units responded, found Daria Berenato, 29, of Ogdensburg, Florida, cooperating with security personnel.
According to Berenato, the handgun was owned by her, and she provided responding officers with a permit to carry originating from another state that is not valid in New Jersey.
Berenato was taken into custody without incident and released on a summons pending a future court date.
