NEW CUMBERLAND, PA – A shocking incident occurred yesterday, when a 14-year-old New Cumberland resident attempted to stab a 14-year-old Lower Allen Township resident and a 12-year-old New Cumberland resident in the 1100 block of Drexel Hills Boulevard. The attack was interrupted by adults who were nearby, preventing any injuries.

They managed to seize a knife from the juvenile, who then fled the scene.

The New Cumberland Borough Police Department quickly located and arrested the suspect. Cumberland County Juvenile Probation was contacted but declined to place the juvenile, who was subsequently released to their family. The case will now proceed through the Cumberland County Juvenile Court system on charges of aggravated assault and simple assault. Authorities are stressing the importance of addressing youth violence and ensuring the safety of local communities.
