Two lucky New Yorkers won big in the Powerball drawing on Saturday, with two third-prize winning tickets sold in the state.

One ticket is worth $150,000 and the other is worth $50,000, with each ticket having four matching numbers and the Powerball.

The winning Power Play ticket was sold at Shell Food Mart at 1160 Straight Path in West Babylon, while the second winning ticket was sold at Tops Markets at 2345 Buffalo Road in Rochester.

The winning numbers for the Powerball drawing on April 8 are 11-22-24-51-60, and the Powerball is 18. The Power Play multiplier for the drawing was 3, which means the third-place prize, not including the jackpot, was tripled to $150,000. The Power Play feature is an additional $1 per game.

The New York Lottery congratulates the winners and reminds players to check their tickets carefully to see if they have won. Winning tickets at all prize levels may be cashed up to one year from the date of the drawing. Players are encouraged to play responsibly and within their means.
