Passaic County player wins $10k in Mega Millions drawing

PASSAIC, NJ – A lucky lottery player from Passaic County is now $10,000 richer after winning the third-tier prize in the Mega Millions drawing held on Friday, April 7. The winning ticket, which matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball, was sold at Jackpocket in Hewitt.

Aside from the third-tier prize winner, 29 players also matched four of the five white balls, each winning $500. Six of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier, doubling the prize money to $1,000. Additionally, 45,264 other lottery players from New Jersey won prizes ranging from $2 to $400, totaling $174,658.

The winning numbers for the April 7 drawing were 12, 32, 49, 51, and 66, with the Gold Mega Ball number being 21 and the Megaplier Multiplier being 02.


The Mega Millions jackpot has rolled over to an impressive $441 million for the next drawing, which will be held on Tuesday, April 11 at 11:00 pm. All Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 pm to participate in the drawing, and players can add the Megaplier option for an extra dollar per play to increase their non-jackpot winnings by up to five times.

Mega Millions tickets can be bought for only $2 and are sold in 46 participating jurisdictions. The drawings are held twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday.
