Deadly Shooting in Trenton Under Investigation

TRENTON, NJ – A man was shot and killed on Friday night in Trenton, prompting an investigation by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office. Police responded to reports of gunfire at 334 Rutherford Avenue and Prospect Street at around 8:20 p.m.

The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was found with a bullet wound to his chest.

Emergency responders administered CPR on the injured male, but medical professionals pronounced him dead shortly after. The motive for the shooting has yet to be determined, and no suspects are currently in custody. Police seek information from the public and ask anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact the Trenton Police Department.


He was identified as Daniel Garvin, 46, of Trenton.

No arrests have been made.
