NYPD Seeks Public’s Help Identifying Subway Attacker Who Assaulted Elderly Woman

NEW YORK CITY – The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individual responsible for an assault that occurred on April 11, 2023, inside the Nassau Avenue and Manhattan Avenue ‘G’ line subway station.

At approximately 8:20 AM, a 70-year-old woman was swiping her MetroCard in the turnstile area when an unknown person approached her and snatched her cellphone from her hand.

The suspect then fled the location out of the station in an unknown direction. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of the incident.
