JARRETTSVILLE, MD – A violent altercation on Saturday left an adult male victim suffering from non-fatal stab wounds to the back of the head and right leg and an adult female victim with facial injuries from a physical assault.

The incident occurred in the 3900 block of Rush Road, Jarrettsville, following a disagreement that escalated between the suspect and the victims, who were related.

Patrol Deputies from the Northern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, and both victims were transported to Wellspan York Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The suspect, identified as Mark Daniel Pickett, 26, fled the scene on foot prior to deputies’ arrival. Detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division assumed the investigation and conducted an extensive search of the area.

He will be transported to the Harford County Detention Center for further interview, processing, and to make his first appearance in front of a District Court Commissioner.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office is requesting anyone with information about this crime or who may have witnessed the assault to call Detective Novak at 443-567-7352.
