PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) are actively searching for a 15-year-old male suspect known as “Baby K” in connection with an attempted murder that took place on a school bus earlier this month.

On Monday, May 1, 2023, officers responded to an assault report on a school bus. As the bus stopped at Iverson Street and Sutler Drive, three suspects boarded the bus and initiated an attack on another teenager. During the assault, “Baby K” reportedly drew a handgun and attempted to shoot the victim several times. The firearm is believed to have malfunctioned, preventing further harm to the victim, who sustained minor injuries. Detectives later recovered ammunition from the bus.

Initial investigations suggest that the victim and the suspects were acquainted, and the attempted murder appears to have originated from a prior dispute. Three of the four suspects, aged 14 and 15, are already in custody and charged as adults.

“Baby K” is currently charged as an adult with attempted first degree murder, attempted second degree murder, assault, firearms offenses, and additional charges. The Prince George’s County Crime Solvers and the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force are offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
