Boston police make arrest in April murder

DORCHESTER, MA – On Tuesday, the Boston Police Department’s Fugitive Unit arrested Demone Coleman, a 44-year-old resident of Dorchester, in connection with the murder of Christopher Shivers.

Coleman was wanted on an outstanding warrant sought out of Suffolk Superior Court on charges of murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The original incident occurred on Saturday, April 8, when officers responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 2055 Columbus Avenue in Roxbury.

The victim was identified as Christopher Shivers, who was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Coleman is due to be arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court.
