Three explosions shake D.C. businesses

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Police in Washington, D.C. are offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest of individuals involved in three explosions that occurred within a 15-minute timeframe at retail outlets on Sunday.

Although no casualties or injuries were reported, all three locations sustained damage, according to a police statement. In one incident, an unidentified person threw a Molotov cocktail-style object at a Safeway store before fleeing in a vehicle.

The other two explosions took place outside an ATM and in front of a Nike store. All establishments were closed at the time of the incidents.

The exact number of suspects sought by the police has not been clarified, but authorities released an image of one suspect and a photograph of a vehicle that may have been used in the attacks.

The suspect in the image had their back turned to the surveillance camera, making their face unidentifiable. They appeared to be wearing a white jacket or hoodie. The vehicle involved was described as a champagne-colored Acura TL with a Maryland license plate.

Authorities stated that Sunday’s explosions seemed to have targeted commercial establishments rather than the general public.
